Tool The Lowdown is a 2 CD set featuring a spoken word biography of the band, an interview recorded with the members, rare photos, booklets, posters and a whole range of other features, and covers both the career of Tool themselves, and that of side project Perfect Circle.
Tool is an American rock band from Los Angeles. Formed in 1990, the group consists of vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey and bassist Justin Chancellor, who replaced founding member Paul D'Amour in 1995.

Formed in London, Ontario in 1982, Lowdown recorded their own independent album 'Love Ya' that year on the Lady Records label. Sessions for the follow-up album, 'Gimme Some', were recorded in 1983 and released later that same year.
May 23, 2024 · Tool bassist Justin Chancellor has offered an update on the prog metal stars’ next album, saying the band has “a couple of solid […] skeletons of songs”. The musician, who joined Tool in 1995 to replace original bassist Paul D’Amour, has also explained the four-piece’s current songwriting process.
