Timothy Noel Palmer CBE FRS (born 31 December 1952) is a mathematical physicist by training. He has spent most of his career working on the dynamics and predictability of weather and climate.
Timothy J. Palmer (born 4 October 1962, in North Shields) is an English record producer, audio engineer, guitarist and songwriter of rock and alternative music. He mixed Pearl Jam's debut album Ten (1991) and tracks on U2's album All That You Can't Leave Behind (2000).
Tim Palmer is a Royal Society Research Professor in Climate Physics and a Senior Fellow at the Oxford Martin Institute. He works on the predictability and dynamics of weather and climate, and has developed ensemble methods for forecasting uncertainty and applications for various sectors.
BIOGRAPHY. Tim Palmer has produced and mixed albums for a huge selection of classic and alternative artists, from Robert Plant, David Bowie and Tears For Fears to Ozzy Osbourne, The Goo Goo Dolls and U2.
