The new superintendent Koo Kwok-keung (Fala Chen) assigned him to take charge of a series of kidnapping cases. Several triad leaders were kidnapped, held to ransom and murdered. The modus operandi was violent, brutal, professional and efficient.

"Black Ransom" is an entertaining action thriller, one that plays on the way they used to make action thrillers, and it works out nicely. I was genuinely entertained with the movie from start to end. My rating of "Black Ransom" is six out of ten stars.
