Josh Sternfeld (born Joshua Sternfeld in 1972, New York City, New York), is an American film writer/director. In June 2021, Sternfeld directed the action film Fortress: Sniper's Eye (2022).

Josh Sternfeld developed an interest in filmmaking as a teenager, and studied at NYU Graduate Film School, where he wrote and directed the award-winning short film Balloons, Streamers.
Sternfeld won critical acclaim when his first film, Balloons, Streamers (1997), premiered at the 1997 New York Film Festival and then screened at the 1998 Sundance Festival.
