Jacques-Rémy Girerd est né le 7 mars 1952. Il entre à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon en 1974 1, puis se lance dans l'animation en réalisant de petits films en pâte à modeler ( 4000 Images fœtales et D'une gompa l'autre ). En 1981, il fonde le studio Folimage, spécialisé dans la production de films réalisés image par image.

Folimage is a French animation studio, based in Bourg-lès-Valence, Drôme, France. It was founded in 1981 by Jacques-Rémy Girerd. [1] The studio produces animation films for cinema and TV (short films, TV specials and series, feature films). In 1999, the company founded an animation school, La Poudrière, also in Valence. [2]
