Burkhard von Dallwitz (born 28 January 1959) is a German Australian composer based in Melbourne, best known for his score for 1998 American film The Truman Show. Since 1984, he has worked as a composer for feature films, television and commercials in Australia , Germany and the United States .

Biography. Internationally acclaimed and regarded as one of Australia’s leading screen composers, Burkhard Dallwitz was born in Germany where he began classical piano training from the age of eight. In 1979 he settled in Australia and studied music at Latrobe University where he majored with Honours in Composition.
