Betty Jane Wylie, CM (born February 21, 1931) is a Canadian writer and playwright. Born Betty Jane McKenty in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1951 and a Master of Arts degree in 1952 from the University of Manitoba.
Writer, playwright. Born at Winnipeg in 1931, she graduated from the University of Manitoba with an MA in English. She left Winnipeg in 1967 when her husband William T. Wylie (1927-1973), administrator of the Manitoba Theatre Centre, was appointed General Manager of the Stratford Festival Theatre.

She completed an M.A. in English in 1952, majoring in 20th century poetry, with minors in Anglo-Saxon and Old Norse.
