Myths of the Near Future is the debut album by English rock band Klaxons. It was released on 29 January 2007 through Polydor Records. Following their debut single, the band coined the term "new rave" to refer to their sound; not long after their second single, they signed to Polydor Records.

Myths of the Near Future is the debut album of British Nu-Wave band Klaxons. It contains singles “Gravity’s Rainbow”, “Magick”, “Golden Skans” and “It’s Not Over Yet”.
Klaxons were one of the pioneers in the short lived new rave genre, and Myths of the Near Future was one of the better known albums from the genre. Whether it did a good job representing new rave is entirely on the listener.
