John Ulick Knatchbull, 7th Baron Brabourne, CBE (9 November 1924 – 23 September 2005), professionally known as John Brabourne, was a British peer, television producer and Oscar -nominated film producer. Married to the elder daughter of 1st Earl Mountbatten, Brabourne was a survivor of the bombing which killed his father-in-law, mother and son .

John Ulick Knatchbull, CBE, 7th Lord Brabourne & 16th Baronet of Mersham Hatch was born on 9th November 1924 in Bombay, a year after his father - Sir Michael Knatchbull, 5th Lord Brabourne (1895-1939) was appointed Governor of the city. In 1938, John’s father spent four months as Acting Viceroy & Governor-General of India, and subsequently became Governor of Bengal until his death.

The wedding at Romsey Abbey in Hampshire was the society wedding of the year and arguably one of the hottest tickets of the decade (comparable, perhaps, to the forthcoming Westminster wedding ).
Through her marriage in 1946 to the moviemaker John Knatchbull, the seventh Baron Brabourne, she became Lady Brabourne.
