Ian Iqbal Rashid was born in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania and raised in Toronto. Rashid began dividing his time between London, England, and Canada in 1991, and by the late 1990s he had settled in Bristol. In addition to poetry, Rashid writes criticism, screenplays, and television drama.
