Tom Walmsley (born 13 December 1948, in Liverpool, England) is a Canadian playwright, novelist, poet and screenwriter. Born in Liverpool, Walmsley came to Canada with his family in 1952, and was raised in Oshawa, Ontario, and Lorraine, Quebec. He dropped out of high school and battled addictions as a young adult.

It is with great sadness that Trafford FC announce the passing of our former Chairman Tom Walmsley. Tom first became involved with the Club back in the 1990s as a supporter, and after quickly being consumed by the family atmosphere at Shawe View he joined the committee, eventually becoming Chairman in the early 2000’s.
