Jun 23, 2020 · The film, which was produced by Andre Pieterse and titled ‘Forever Young, Forever Free’ in the US, is an extraordinarly moving portrayal of the friendship between a black South African boy (played by Muntu Ndebele) and his white orphan friend (played by Norman Knox) at the height of Apartheid in SA.
One of the producers, Andre Pieterse, has said that the “well-researched” screenplay will be made ”without any influence from any of the main characters.” Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard have signed on to play the Mandelas in this $15 million drama which will span their lives over decades.
