Angelo Pizzo (/ ˈ p iː t z oʊ /) is an American screenwriter and film producer, usually working on films based on a true story, and usually about athletics. He is best known for Hoosiers and Rudy.
Angelo Pizzo is best known for writing and producing Hoosiers (1986) and Rudy (1993), two inspirational sports dramas based on true stories. He also directed My All-American (2015) and The Game of Their Lives (2005), and moved back to his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana in 2004.
