The 32-year-old actress has shared in interviews that her childhood was not, surprise, surprise, as glamorous as her life is now. “While our childhoods are similarly humble, hers is much harsher as she worked since the age of four to support her family. People from my generation are more lucky,” she said in a 2021 interview with the Post.
Rather than the screen, Wong originally aspired to be a fashion designer. But it was during her studies that a peer recognised potential in Wong’s ability as a model and encouraged her to move in front of the camera herself and participate in the Elite Model Look competition.
