Warner Oland (born Johan Verner Ölund; October 3, 1879 – August 6, 1938) was a Swedish-American actor. His career included time on Broadway and numerous film appearances.
Warner Oland was a Swedish-born actor who played Charlie Chan, a Chinese-American detective, in 16 films from 1931 to 1937. He suffered from alcoholism and mental problems and died in Sweden in 1938.
