Jan 13, 2010 · Friends of Mina Bern gathered at the Moonstruck Diner in Manhattan on Tuesday to mourn her and tell stories about her life in the Yiddish theater. Ms. Bern died on Sunday at age 98.
Mina was game for everything and directors loved her. In her 80’s Mina won an Obie for her role in The Folksbiene’s “Sweet Dreams.” She continued to appear on and off-Broadway in revues and in perennial productions of The National Yiddish Theater-Folksbiene.
