Joseph Kilgour (11 July 1863 – 21 April 1933) was a Canadian actor of the silent film era. He was a well-known veteran stage actor in Broadway theatre before entering silent films. He appeared in more than 50 films between 1909 and 1926.

Major Kilgour was one of the best known horse men in North America. His reputation for keeping a well bred stable of hunting horses was celebrated, as was the farm he built. He named the estate Sunnybrook Farm and it was considered to be the perfect model hobby farm in it’s day.
Alice M. Kilgour donates Sunnybrook Farm to the City of Toronto in memory of her husband Joseph Kilgour for use as a public park, to be known as Sunnybrook Park. 1942. The Greater Toronto Veterans’ Hospital Committee recommended Sunnybrook Park as the best location for a 1,590 bed veterans’ hospital.
Sunnybrook Park. Sunnybrook Farm was the 154-hectare country estate of Joseph Kilgour in the late 1800s. It is located north of Leaside and south of the Bridle Path. After Kilgour's passing, his wife Alice donated Sunnybrook Farms to the city in 1928 to be used as a park.
