Oliver John MacGreevy (25 July 1928 - October 1981) was an Irish actor who appeared in many British films and television series from the mid 1950s until he retired in 1980, often as brutish, shaven-headed villains.

May 17, 2024 · Oliver MacGreevy was an actor who appeared in many films and television series from the mid 50s until retiring in 1984. Among his notable parts he played Housemartin in the The Ipcress File. He also made a notable appearance as both the Gardener and the Electrician in The Prisoner episode "Arrival".
MacGreevy began his acting career in the 1957 series The Buccaneers and his first big screen success was in The Ipcress File in 1965. He followed this with roles in Licence To Kill, Modesty Blaise, Salt & Pepper, When Eight Bells Toll and Flash Gordon.
Oliver MacGreevy (born 3rd August 1928 in Dublin, died October 1981 in London) appeared on Coronation Street in April 1967 as Bert Tate. His other television credits include The Four Just Men, Richard the Lionheart, Z Cars, Orlando, Softly Softly, Department S and The Flaxton Boys.
