Ralph Lee Sampson Jr. (born July 7, 1960) is an American former professional basketball player. He is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Ralph Sampson was a 7-4 center and power forward who played nine seasons in the NBA from 1983 to 1992. He won Rookie of the Year, MVP, All-Star and All-NBA honors, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.
