A motorcycle policeman's partner is deliberately run off the road and killed by a member of a syndicate that controls the gambling--and much of the justice system--in his town.
Motorcycle cop Charles Delaney is run off the road and killed by rich wastrel Robert Ellis. Ellis threatens his passenger, judge's daughter Lila Lee, that he'll say she grabbed the steering wheel and caused the accident unless she backs up his story that they saw nothing.
A cop is fatally injured while chasing a speeder. His partner catches up with the driver, a notorious gambler, who's eloping with a judge's daughter (Lila Lee). At trial, the gambler beats the rap when the judge's daughter lies for him. Overcome with remorse, she confesses to perjury.
