Jul 23, 1993 · The special effects are ambitious, especially after the Coneheads return to their native planet. But the movie never really works. The story begins with a Conehead ship approaching earth and outrunning pursuit planes before making a wrong turn and ditching Aykroyd and Curtin in the East River.
An alien couple with cone-shaped heads from the planet Remulak is stranded on Earth and tries to blend in with human society. They face challenges from the government, the INS, and their teenage daughter who wants to return to Remulak.
