The film stars Judy Canova, Eddie Foy, Jr., Alan Hale, Jr., Walter Catlett, Claire Carleton and Karolyn Grimes. The film was released on October 20, 1951 by Republic Pictures.
Honeychile was the first Republic picture to be made in a new three color version of Republic's Trucolor process. This was Judy Canova's first picture since Singin' in the Corn (1946).
