Dear Brat is a 1951 American comedy film directed by William A. Seiter and starring Mona Freeman and Billy De Wolfe. It is the third in a series following Dear Ruth (1947) and Dear Wife (1949).
Dear Brat was the third and final installment in Paramount's "Dear Ruth" series. The first two- Dear Ruth (1947) and Dear Wife (1949)-starred Joan Caulfield as "Ruth Wilkins Seacroft" and William Holden as "Bill Seacroft" (see AFI Catalog of Feature Films, 1941-50 ).

Dear Brat. Sequel to "Dear Ruth" & "Dear Wife". Ruth's younger sister Miriam causes a family uproar when she befriends a criminal, with the intent to reform him.
After a new gardener, Baxter, turns out to be a notorious ex-convict who was sentenced to prison by Senator Wilkins when he was a judge, and is about to be fired, his daughter points out it would be an unwise decision considering the position her father held on her society.
