- Olentangy Indian Caverns. Distance from Downtown Columbus: 23 miles. Growing up, some of my favorite field trips were to the Olentangy Indian Caverns. I visited with my school and summer camps and it was fun no matter the season.
- Rockbridge State Nature Preserve. Distance from Downtown Columbus: 44 miles. Rockbridge is a marvel of nature. Its name comes from the fact that a rock formation spans across an area creating a bridge.
- Ohio Caverns. Distance from Downtown Columbus: 52 miles. The Ohio Caverns are a marvel that were made from limestone, a little water, and a lot of time. It attracts visitors from all over the nation.
- Rock House in Hocking Hills State Park. Distance from Downtown Columbus: 54 miles. Rock House is the only true cave structure inside of Hocking Hills State Park.

The entrance to the caverns is housed in a small museum where you can read about the history of the caverns and some of the famous and infamous things that happened there, and see the bones of an ox that fell down to its untimely death around 1818 (or 1821, depending on the story!).
- Treasure Hunt Maze. When you purchase admission to the Treasure Hunt Maze you will receive 3 tokens. Explore the maze to find 3 treasure stops! You can use the tokens to get your three treasures and then work to find your way out!
