Let's take a trip back to 2013 - back to when we created the first prototype of SUPERHOT for the 7 Day FPS Game Jam challenge. This prototype was created in 2013. Most of us had no idea what we're doing and haven't made games before.
SUPERHOT is the award-winning smash-hit FPS where time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops.
Gameplay. In Superhot, time moves slower when the player does not move. The game moves faster when they look around, move or shoot, giving them situational awareness to respond to enemy actions, such as altering their course to avoid the path of oncoming bullets.
It's just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing weapons off fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets. With its unique, stylized graphics SUPERHOT finally adds something new and disruptive to the FPS genre.
