Devil's Cargo is a 1948 American mystery film directed by John F. Link Sr. It was the fourteenth of the sixteen Falcon films produced in the 1940s, and the first of the three featuring the magician and actor John Calvert.
Oct 24, 2013 · I've just view this movie (one of three Falcon movies with John Calvert made by Film Classics) and even if this movies is not in the same league as the Falcon movies made by RKO (with Georges Sanders and later on by Tom Conway), Devil's Cargo is a really fine peace of Poverty Row entertainment.

Conroy, a playboy, is found shot to death in his penthouse. A ne'er-do-well named Ramon Delgado ( Paul Marion) tells the Falcon, Michael Watling ( John Calvert ), that he committed the murder and asks the Falcon to keep a key for him until after he has been acquitted.
