The Heart of Nora Flynn is a 1916 American silent drama film directed by Cecil B. DeMille. It stars Marie Doro in her first film for Jesse L. Lasky. Art direction for the film was done by Wilfred Buckland. It premiered on April 23, 1916 at the Strand Theatre in New York City
Nora is nursemaid to a wealthy family and in love with their chauffeur Nolan. When she hides her mistress' lover in her room, jealous Nolan shoots him and Nora, who refuses to tell about her mistress affair, is dismissed.
When Mrs. Stone sees her husband arrive, she orders her children's nursemaid, Nora Flynn, to tell Brantley that the man, Jack Murray, is really her own sweetheart. This lie eases Brantley's mind, but it so infuriates Nolan, who loves Nora, that he shoots and wounds Jack.
