Sheriff Billy Kelly is shot down in Emporia, Wyoming, and the mayor and the local preacher send for a gunfighter, Waco, to help restore law and order. The preacher's wife, Jill Stone, is apprehensive lest Waco, unaware of her marriage, attempt to resume their former romance.
