Philip Fox La Follette (May 8, 1897 – August 18, 1965) was an American politician. He was the 27th and 29th Governor of Wisconsin, as well as one of the founders of the Wisconsin Progressive Party.
Miller proceeds to analyze Phil La Follette's second term as governor in 1935-1936 and his uneasy alliance with Roosevelt and the New Deal. La Follette expressed serious reservations about such New Deal programs as the National Recovery Act, the Agricultural Adjustment Act, and relief policies.
