The first season of Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World was officially announced by Bell Media and Canada's Drag Race social media accounts on June 9, 2022.
On October 17, 2022, the cast of Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World was revealed, with nine queens from around the Drag Race franchise competing in the series for the chance to win $100,000 and the title of Queen of the Mother-Pucking World, with Canada being the host nation. In the same occasion, a premiere date of November 18, 2022 was announced. The promo theme was Disco. Nations featured this season include Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
At the finale, Ra'Jah O'Hara was crowned Queen of the Mother-Pucking World, winning $100,000 and a crown and scepter from Amped Accessories. Silky Nutmeg Ganache placed as runner-up, and Rita Baga and Victoria Scone placed 3rd/4th.
On January 11, 2023, Anita Wigl'it was announced as the winner of the title of Miss Congeniality via the Canada's Drag Race Twitter account.
