On May 3, 2021 it was announced that The CW had officially renewed Kung Fu for a second season due to premiere sometime in the 2021-2022 TV Season. Later that month, on May 25, 2021, it was revealed that Season 2 won't premiere till sometime in the midseason 2021-2022 schedule for The CW.On July 23, 2021 Eddie Liu went onto say on Twitter that Kung Fuwould get a second season and would air sometime around January 2022.
