"Malachi's Cove" has all the necessary ingredients for a successful family movie: a feisty heroine, some lighthearted comedy, and the gorgeous views of Cornwall's rugged coasts and rolling meadows. What it lacks though is proper pacing, and it's an almost fatal flaw. The first two acts are too slow, repetitive, and boring.
