St Mary's School Ascot is a Roman Catholic independent day and boarding school for girls in Ascot, Berkshire, England. It is a member of the Girls' Schools Association. It was named 2015 "Public School of the Year" at the annual Tatler Schools Awards. It was ranked No. 1 in the U.K. by The Daily Telegraph in the 2018 GCSEs.
May 18, 2024 · Admissions - St Mary's School Ascot. The school accepts about 65 pupils each year. Entry is at 11+ (our main intake), 13+ or 16+ and is by the school’s own entrance examination, an interview and a report from the current school. About 40 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (11+), 20 to Year 9 (13+) and about 5 to the Sixth Form (16+).

School Information - St Mary's School Ascot. History of the School. Mary Ward was born in 1585 into a wealthy recusant Catholic family near Ripon in Yorkshire. She received a good classical education, and then, at the age of 15, she decided upon the religious life, and entered the monastery of Poor Clares in St Omer.
