Asparagus On The Bbq - Yahoo Recipe Search
Food.comThis is a traditional and very special way of cooking the omnipresent and excellent fresh salmon that you find in Canada or the Pacific Northwest in the USA! You just have to remember to soak your cedar plank or shingle for at least 3 - 4 hours prior to cooking. The soy and orange marinated salmon fillet takes on a wonderful smoky flavour when cooked this way, and marries so well with the slightly tart and Oriental flavours of the cranberry relish. Serve with garlic-roasted or steamed new potatoes, wild rice, asparagus and assorted hot or cold salads. Preparation time includes the time to soak the cedar planks. (Planks can be used several times if soaked well and used over indirect heat. After use, rinse the plank thoroughly with warm water. Use a scrubbing brush if needed!) This planked salmon can be grilled or broiled, cooked in a kettle BBQ or over a wood fire.TastyYou don’t need a barbecue to make flavorful baby back ribs — in fact, all you really need is one sheet tray. After slowly roasting the ribs on it, load it up with corn and asparagus in the final ten minutes of cooking and dinner is done. The ribs will be falling off the bone, and the veggies will be perfectly tender yet crisp. The best part? You’ll only have to wash one dish.Food52Finding a delicious and filling vegetarian BBQ main to feed my non-veg friends can be a challenge when I don't want to rely on veggie burgers. This tofu, marinated in a silghtly spicy peanut sauce, is a synch to make and pleases just about everyone I've fed it to. You can either grill it up directly on the grill in slabs or put squares of it on skewers with sugar snap peas, peppers, asparagus or whatever else you can think up. The marinade is totally addictive and great on tofu and veggies alike. I usually make the marinade in my tiny food processor but you can mix it just as easily by hand.
