Police record checks. To apply for an online police record check you must be a resident of Canada. Youth applications are accepted. Only Winnipeg residents over the age of 18 may apply online for a vulnerable sector check. Those under the age of 18 are only eligible for a criminal record check.
Jun 19, 2023 · Effective today, June 19 th, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service will be implementing a new criminal records check system to enhance the online application experience and reduce the need for citizens attending in person for record checks.
This system allows you to apply for a police record check 24 hours a day without having to attend our facility. All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification, fee payment and completed police record check results certificate - are handled electronically.

The criminal record check application can now be completed online and sent directly to the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS). The applicant no longer needs to go to a police station and complete an application. The online process is much faster and more efficent.
