Herdies, born David Olivier Knape, lives and works in Stockholm. In 2006, he started the film production company Filmfront STHLM together with Georg Götmark, where he directed and produced documentaries such as Citizen Oketch (2009) and The Guerilla Son (2011).
Herdies is a member of the EAVE, ACE and Eurodoc networks, and was Producer on the Move in Cannes 2018. Together with his partner, Michael Krotkiewski, Herdies has also established the two sister companies Momento Studio (post sound) and Momento Paradiso (distribution).
