Fred Chalenor (December 29, 1955 – June 23, 2018) was an American bassist, most recognized for his work in the bands Caveman Shoestore, Tone Dogs, and Face Ditch.
Jul 4, 2018 · Fred, who collaborated with many players including ex-Soft Machine bassist Hugh Hopper, composer Wayne Horowitz as well as his Caveman Shoestore project passed away on 23rd June aged 62. He’d been suffering from early onset Alzheimer's disease though had continued to play bass until near the end.
