Galettes à La Mélasse (Molasses Cookies)
    Food.com
This is from a cookbook called "Le guide de la cuisine traditionnelle acadienne" . It is a french acadian cookbook with a lot of old turn of the century recipes . I tried this one on my kids today and they loved it(even if it doesn't contain any sugar except for the molasses)I also substituted 1/2 cup oil instead of shortening that the original recipe called for . The cookies aren't overly sweet but still good and healthier. The original recipe called for more cloves and less cinnamon .
    Creme Fraiche Asparagus Soup
    Food.com
Based on a recipe from Michelle Garner’s cookbook, Quick French Cuisine. She says, “I adapted this from my aunt Cécille’s recipe. She would make large batches and freeze it.”

    Make-At-Home Creme Fraiche
    Food.com
Creme Fraiche is a thick and tangy French cream which is like a smoother and richer sour cream. If using in a recipe, it would be best to prepare the day before as it has to be allowed to sit at room temperature about 8 hours, then chilled before use. I found this very easy recipe in Cuisine at Home.
    Creamy Coriander / Cilantro Soup
    Food.com
WOW! Ok, I'm new to this soup, but what an introduction! The best way I can think to categorize this cuisine would be French/Asian Fusion. I love cilantro -- my husband is unfortunate enough to possess enzymes that render cilantro "soapy tasting" -- and despite the recipe title, the result here is mild. And rich, but not over-the-top rich, if you follow. If you don't follow, get in line! Oops, sorry. Anyway, try this. I insist. Times are estimated since it always takes me WAAAAY longer to do anything than a normal person.
Winter Squash & Chickpea Soup with Sage, Harissa, and Hazelnuts
    Food52
This soup may be the result of cooking too many Yotam Ottolenghi recipes over the years and the fact that I now love to add specialty Middle Eastern ingredients to all of my vegetable dishes. Or it came about because I needed to exercise some pseudo painterly inclinations and play with bright colors and pure aesthetics while stuck inside during a snowstorm. The actual recipe was inspired by a pureed chickpea and sage soup I found in Cuisine Nicoise: Sun-Kissed Cooking From the French Riviera by Hillary Davis (the blogger behind Marche Dimanche). I love the confluence of seemingly disparate flavors in this smoky sweet bisque. And, by the way, harissa? I can't seem to stop adding it to dishes.
    Scrambled Eggs (Oeufs Brouillés)
    Food.com
This is a recipe I found on Cuisine-France.com that I adapted, to add some cheese, in order to be like a hotel's French restaurant's eggs for brunch that I enjoyed. I am posting this for ZWT France leg of the race. Times weren't stated, so this is a guess, as this is untried by me as of now.
Riviera Style Risotto – Braised Rice
    Food.com
This recipe has been submitted for play in ZWT8 - France, from the CUISINE-FRANCE website. This risotto recipe is from the Riviera region and is also known as pilaf. Although Risotto is a traditional Italian recipe, this is a delicious French recipe for braised rice, with a combination of rice and onions. It is wonderful paired with Burgundy white wine or dry white wine as suggested by the French Wine Guide.
