Jim’s first production under this banner was the Wesley Snipe’s vehicle UNSTOPPABLE. More recently Jim was a producer on the hit movie, THE BOY, its sequel, BRAHMS: The Boy Part 2 (both for Lakeshore Entertainment and STX)and MIXTAPE, an original production for Netflix.
Jim Wedaa. Producer: The Boy. Jim Wedaa, originally from Yorba Linda, California, attended film school at UCLA and graduated in 1987. Beginning his career in the Story Department at Weintraub Entertainment Group, Jim soon joined Hollywood Pictures, a division of the Walt Disney Company.
Headed by Jim Wedaa, the producer of such movies as William Brent Bell’s THE BOY & THE BOY 2, Netflix’s MIXTAPE, Brian De Palma’s MISSION TO MARS, Barry Sonnenfeld’s BIG TROUBLE, and the upcoming film SID. Parallax is dedicated to both discovering new talent and helping experienced talent grow.
