It follows paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill), paleobotanist Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) as they are invited to the island of Isla Nublar off the Pacific Coast by businessman John Hammond (Richard Attenborough).
