Lyle Mitchell Corbine Jr. (born 1989) is an American and Ojibwe filmmaker from the Bad River Reservation in Wisconsin. His debut feature, Wild Indian (2021), was screened in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
Corbine, Jr. says the story began with his thinking about his father, who felt guilt over becoming successful after he left the reservation — an emotional theme given narrative backstory when Corbine, Jr. remembered an incident from his childhood involving the murder of a Native boy in his neighborhood.
