Dec 14, 2021 · On Sunday, that number was officially retired in honour of Mark Forster, a Welland native who spent parts of five seasons playing on his hometown team, then known as the Cougars, and another five as head coach.
Welland, ON – In conjunction with the Welland Jr. B Hockey Club’s alumnus building initiative, the City of Welland has declared December 12 as Mark Forster Day. ON December 12, 2021, the Club will retire Forster’s number 12 in a pregame ceremony.
