  4. Greatest private benefactor. Named in honor of George McLagan, McLagan Drive is a fitting tribute to the man who was the greatest private benefactor of Stratford's famous parks system. He chaired the parks board from 1909 to 1918.

  6. 210 Water Street is the only example of the Beaux d’Arts style in Stratford. Built in1908/1909 by furniture maker, George McLagan, the building remained in the family for many years. Building features include the huge front portico, pilasters (resemble columns but are part of the wall) and capitals of the Ionic order.
