Graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in 1984, Michael developed the signature style that can be seen in his paintings today. In the initial years of his career, Michael became known around the Oakville area for his one-man art exhibits that took place at a variety of galleries.
Art Exhibits and Awards. October 1975: First one-man show when 17 years old. 1975 - 1978: One-man shows at Woodside Library, Oakville. 1976 - 1979: One-man shows at Valhalla Inn Gallery, Toronto. June 1976: First Prize Painting at “Art-in-the-Park", Oakville. 1977: Group Show - O’Keefe Centre, Toronto.

Looking back on the life of Oakville artist Gwynyth Young tells a story of dedication to the arts community.
