I'm a rising senior from Atlanta, GA and just now got a call from an admissions advisor at NYFA. From what he told me in response to the questions I asked, it seems like a great school (I would be starting Fall 2021). However, when I looked up reviews I found pretty mixed opinions.

I'm vehemently against NYFA and LAFS because I went to the latter and it was the biggest mistake I've made in my career to date. I learned virtually nothing, met no one worth meeting, made nothing worth making, and spent $50K doing it.
They're very strict on mandatory student reviews for the school at the end of the program so they're not profit-driven but still stay competitive. Curriculum and Tuition. Tuition was around 5k with travel and food expenses and I heard someone here say you can make your own film with that money.
