We learned how to edit and shoot our own short film, and the classes were instructed as if we had little film knowledge coming in. For me most of it had been review (since I was lucky to have a really great Filmmaking class in high school), but overall — I think the classes were pretty solid!

I searched for reviews online and the only one I found on Reddit was from 2016 with 6 upvotes so I wanted to share my own experience with a few statements with a little background information. Background. Attended the 4-week Film Making Program (Feb 2020), the commute was 2 hours by train and walking (one way).

I'm pretty new here and basically just a lurker until I move to the US next year, but I'm curious about what the general opinion is of the NYFA. From what I've read about it, it seems to be pretty expensive but mostly practical (could be wrong).
