May 1, 2024 · As an “open” university, Athabasca prides itself on its highly flexible model, making higher education easy and accessible from admission to the final exams. Admission to AU is open to anyone age 16 or older, regardless of previous education. Most courses have no prerequisites and there’s no competition for entry into a program.
