The film stars Rebecca Hall as a woman on the brink of a marriage proposal from her boyfriend (Dan Stevens), but is impeded by the suggestion of her brother (David Joseph Craig) and his life partner (Morgan Spector) to "test date" other men before she ultimately settles down.
"Permission" is a predictable romantic comedy, I could just tell how the film will end after watching the first scene. The process of getting to the end scene is quite pleasant, with a lot of eye candy and nice portrayal of how the new arrangement may or may not be working.

By attempting to say too much on the topic, Permission ends up not saying very much. Crano’s ability to approach the subject of monogamy without heavily leaning to either side is certainly commendable, but this film had the potential to expand how society views monogamy in a genuinely thought-provoking way.
