Portraying the Malibu beach life by day, and the L.A. club life by night, SIZZLE BEACH U.S.A. is a stunning insider’s critique of the sex and drug world of the swingers’ scene in the early 80’s.
Sizzle Beach, U.S.A., also known as Malibu Hot Summer, is a 1981 independent film directed by Richard Brander, and starring Robert Acey, Terry Congie, Leslie Brander, Roselyn Royce and Kevin Costner in his film debut. It was not released until 1986, after Costner became more well-known as an actor.
Three young women rent a Malibu beach house. One gets a job in a high school as a result of her conversation with a man she meets when jogging. Another studies acting and takes horseback riding lessons at a stable where she is attracted to the handsome owner.
A budding folk singer (Terry Congie), an actress (Leslie Brander) and a gym teacher (Roselyn Royce) share a Malibu beach house.
