The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art is an independent drama school based in South Kensington. The academy originated in Paris in 1906 as an opera training school. Since 1945, it has specialised in the training of actors, whilst retaining a strong emphasis on the development of singing skills.
By 1932 the school had added full theatrical training to its curriculum, and it was renamed the Webber Douglas School of Singing and Dramatic Art.
